INFO ENGLISH‘fall into me’ finally marks the release of the first and keenly awaited single from jay haze aka fuckpony’s masterpiece ‘let the love flow’. the album title says it all – ‘fall into me’ sounds incredibly light, yet catchy and full of energy – a free fall onto the world’s softest pillow. this is how house must sound to lovers. house with soul can be taken literally in this case, as jay has called upon the expert support of laila tov and chela simone. the latter enjoys an international standing and has already lent her sublime, very unique voice to kiki’s hit single ‘good voodoo’. here she combines inextricably with jay’s compact sound aesthetic and makes ‘fall into me’ positively shine.
with its atmospheric intro and broad musical range, the original on the a-side sees a welcome reappearance of certain ‘must have’ features which will have the hairs on your neck standing up... the accompanying video was shot by emmy nominee daniel michael gahr with chela simone and laila tov in the woods of san francisco.

marco passarani has done the honours on the flip side. a workaholic from the eternal city of rome, marco is the linchpin of the italian techno scene. he produced projects such as j’s pool, monomorph and ambit 3 for the labels skam, hymen, clone and peacefrog, and also runs his own labels plasmek, pigna and nature records. marco’s ‘fall into me’ remix is unmistakably influenced by his carefully nurtured detroit roots. however, he employs these stylistic elements very discreetly, retains beats, melody and vocals in his arrangement, takes out a little of the decorative padding from the album, then finally hits us with a wonderful, trancey eight-tone sequence to send us into the realm of dancefloor dreams for ever more. |

me" daher - ein freier fall ins weichste kissen der welt. so muss house für verliebte klingen. house mit soul ist dabei wörtlich zu nehmen, denn für die vocals hat sich der meister unterstützung von laila tov und chela simone geholt. letztere ist mit internationalen promi-credts gesegnet und hat ihre begnadete, sehr eigene stimme zuvor bereits kikis hit-single "good voodoo" verliehen. sie verbindet sich nun untrennbar mit jays dichter soundästhetik und bringt "fall into me" förmlich zum leuchten.
das original auf der a-seite besitzt mit seinem atmosphärischen intro und den weit gespannten bögen die immer wieder gerne gehörten "must haves" - senkrechte nackenhaare inklusive... das dazugehörige video wurde vom emmy-nominierten

auf der flipside hat sich marco passarani der sache angenommen. der in der ewigen stadt rom beheimatete workaholic ist dreh und angelpunkt der italienischen techno-scene. er produziert j's pool, monomorph und ambit 3 für die labels skam, hymen, clone und peacefrog und betreibt die eigenen labels plasmek, pigna und nature records. marco's "fall into me" remix wird unüberhörbar von seinen sorgsam gepflegten detroit-wurzeln geprägt. er bedient sich deren stilelemente allerdings sehr umsichtig, behält beats, melodik und vocals bei, entfernt hier und dort ein wenig vom schmückenden beiwerk der albumversion und schickt uns schließlich mit einer wundervoll trancigen acht-töne-sequenz auf nimmerwiedersehen ins reich der dancefloor-träume. |
